Interact

The Hercules High School Interact Club meets weekly on Wednesdays at 2:30 PM at the Hercules Middle/High School campus. Interact students are an energetic group that is involved in service projects in the community and world-wide.
Locally, students assist at the annual Hercules Rotary Crab Feed every January. They also help out at other local crab feeds and similar venues. At Christmas they work with the Christmas Coalition, helping Santa visit with children, and decorating the program stage in anticipation of his arrival. They help to finance the dictionaries that are distributed every fall to all third graders in Hercules, Rodeo, and Crockett, and they work with Rotarians at the distribution programs at each of five schools. They create cards for shut-ins during the holiday season and at important days throughout the year: Halloween, Easter, Valentine's Day.
Interact students select an international project each year from several that are available: LN-4 Artifical Hand Project, Wheelchair Project, to name two. To such projects they donate funds that they have earned through various fundraising events during the school year.
The Interact Club also treats itself to some fun days of their own: a Christmas Party or an End-of-the-School-Year picnic, as well as some well-deserved celebrations during the year.
